film festival at home...

hi, everyone.
today, i will show you some movies that i saw these days.

First, i watched LITTLE MISS SUNSHINE a week ago.
One of my friends loves this film, so i really wanted to watch it.

This movie is kind of a black comedy road film.

a long story short, a family decided to get their young daughter, Olive into the final of a beauty pageant, LITTLE MISS SUNSHINE take a cross-country trip in their yellow Volkswargen bus.

and these are my favorite words of grandpa.

On the way to California,

Olive: [takes off her head phones and grandpa suddenly puts a pauses to his ongoing swearing]
"What are you guys talking about?"

Grandpa: "Politics."

Grandpa "Losers are people who are so afraid of not winning, they don't even try."

anyway, i love this movie.

second one is Die Herbstzeitlosen.

This film is a Swiss comedy movie
that four older ladies decided to turn the local corner shop into a chic lingerie store.

i wanna be a older lady like them :)

The last one is THE SEPTEMBER ISSUE.

"September is January in fashion."
said one of VOGUE editors.

this film is the documentary film
about VOGUE editor-in-chief Anna Wintour and the September issue of VOGUE.
i mean..this is the real "Devil Wears Prada".

but, I was moved by Grace Coddington
who is the magazine's creative director and is in charge of the majority of photo shoots.

"Not everything can be perfect in the world,"

この言葉はGraceが写真家のNorman Parkinsonに言われたもの言葉として、
